Adventures In Travel & Business

Daddy was comin’ to get us and it was not a good situation. He started yelling at us and pushing us around getting pretty rough. Of course we could not understand what he was saying to us and his temper started to flare even more. Fortunately a British man who was having his tea came over and tried to calm this raging Arab down. He spoke a little Arabic but the man started yelling louder and louder. We couldn’t understand a word he said, but right in the middle of his tirade he Yelled F-You! Well we all understood that and it was so funny that Olav busted out laughing. At this the Arab… (click on the title to continue reading) slapped Olav hard across the face knocking him down. When this happened one of our friends ran to a phone and called Olav’s father the Norwegian Ambassador.

The yelling and the pushing went on for another eight or ten minutes or so then all of a sudden black sedans with Israeli and Norwegian flags came screeching up from all directions. Men in black suits and ties jumped out of the their cars and grabbed the Arab man and forced him into one of the cars. they asked Olav if he was all right and he said yes. Then they all sped off with the Arab. Leaving the Arab boy standing there crying and calling after his father. We all stood there and looked at him, smiling like a bunch of blood thirsty fools.

I have to this day never seen anyone run as fast as that Arab kid. He truly ran for his life with all of us running and yelling hot on his heals. we never did catch him. I don’t think we really wanted to. We just wanted the thrill of the hunt. But oh it was fun!

Those were such great times that I will never forget. I will always look back with fond memories. Good friends, good times and lots of adventures. What I would give to be able to do it all over again. Just to go back and feel the sun and the wind and the salt spray on my face. What great times.

Life was simple. Life was good.
